
Christopher Francis Stubbs, M.D., is an established presence in the Iowa medical community who guides volunteer emergency medical services that meet patient needs in Exira and Audubon nursing homes. Christopher F. Stubbs, M.D., has extensive knowledge of care in nursing and geriatric home settings, and previously worked as primary care physician at Audubon County Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Stubbs’s background includes a family medicine resident position at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. From 2013 to 2016, he cared for patients in a clinical setting and supervised medical students and interns in providing quality inpatient and outpatient care. He also assisted with a community health project and provided obstetric care to the patients of the Family Medicine Clinic at OUHSC.
Having undertaken extensive research in his field, Dr. Stubbs was lead author of the paper “Do SSRIs and SNRIs reduce the frequency and/or severity of hot flashes in menopausal women?” (Journal of the Oklahoma State Medical Association, 2017). During his time as a University of Oklahoma resident, Dr. Christopher F. Stubbs received the “Star of the Quarter” award, which reflects a combination of outstanding organization, instruction, and interpersonal skills.
